Hey everyone! Per our original announcement regarding the new map and build transfers, it was decided that legacy would stay open until September 1st 2018 or until it is typically empty. Whichever occurred first. It would appear that as of the past few weeks legacy has indeed remained typically empty. This means we'd close it, however player builds are still there! As the new /survival is such a roaring success, with most preferring /survival to /legacy, we've decided to update our build transfer process to the following: Starting November 13th until the end of the year we are currently transferring 10* builds a week on a first come, first serve basis. Important - If your build isn't worth you spending the time it takes to read this post, then it won't be worth our time to transfer it. We will ignore requests from individuals who don't spend the time to read this post and choose to ignore procedures. *This number may increase as we adjust for our potential work load and processing speed. Starting in January we will ramp up transfers to complete the remaining builds by January 31st. The process for getting your build transferred from /legacy to /survival (Note the additional parameters below): Important - If your build isn't worth you spending the time it takes to read this post, then it won't be worth our time to transfer it. We will ignore requests from individuals who don't spend the time to read this post and choose to ignore procedures. 1. Make a post in this topic that you would like a build transfer. Include a photo of your build, if able. 2. Stand at your build in /legacy. Submit a modreq standing at the center of the build you want moved. Note that you may only have one build transfer in queue at a time. Example: Go to /legacy, teleport to your build, find the center and stand on it, execute /modreq Build on Legacy I would like moved to Survival 3. Stand at the location you would like your build moved on /survival. Submit a modreq standing at the center of where you want your build moved to. Be extra careful that you are placing it at the correct height (Y coordinate) and that you have enough space around. Example: Go to /survival, teleport to where you want your build to be moved to, find the center of where you want your build to end up, execute /modreq This is where I would like my build moved to 4. Be patient! Remember, transferring builds particularly between two separate machines is a long arduous process. It may take hours, it may take days. This depends on numerous factors, mostly the size of the build and dimensions requested. Additionally, try to be considerate that all staff are unpaid volunteers. We have families, real jobs, and lives that may cause a temporary delay with your transfer. General policies on build transfers that may be subject to change. It's important that you read these: Important - If your build isn't worth you spending the time it takes to read this post, then it won't be worth our time to transfer it. We will ignore requests from individuals who don't spend the time to read this post and choose to ignore procedures. 1. Case by case basis. That is how most of this will work and will be repeated below. 2. 'Build' refers to any structure that you own that is within a protected region owned by you. It includes player built structures, but not landscaping. This will be on a case by case basis, but our goal is to move your builds in a sensible manner. With the varying needs, there won't be much for specifics nor parameters. If you've a huge build or a tiny build, all good. If it's a single build or a cluster of builds, that's fine. If you have a village, town, or city and you want that moved it's no problem. Same with underground stuff, though you'll need to mention that there is stuff underground in the modreq. We probably won't include roads that travel outside the general area as these would include, mostly, landscape. Remember - Case by case basis. If you have any special parameters, please notify your next available admin and they will make a note for the rest of the team. Additional petty details for petty people: Again, we'll be taking this on a case by case basis, so there isn't a 'minimum distance by blocks' , maximum this or that, or some other parameter you may come up with. All builds come in different sizes, shapes, and dimensions. Some builds are close, others are far and need to be sent in multiple transfers. Naturally, making unnecessary adjustments to your build such as 1x1, 2x1, etc lines to your other builds to expand the zone so that it can be included into one build won't be included and is rather silly. Attempting to claim over someone else's region, or claim it as yours, even if you've a notarized document proving transfer of ownership signed by the local government of your domicile and/or the secretary general of the United Nations, won't be accepted. North Koreans exempted of course. These are merely two examples to illustrate the potential malicious inclination you may have and are not all encompassing of the crazy things people come up with. We're looking to move builds for players who genuinely want their stuff moved over, not the ones trying to take advantage of the system. If we find the latter is the case, we'll just ignore your transfer request much the same way an aged house-cat will ignore mice in the kitchen. This means your build won't get transferred. At all. Ok to be clear here - If you try to exploit or take advantage of the system you will have no build transfers at all. We are not going to spend time dealing with your nonsense when we could be helping others. 3. We'll pretty much accept any build. I'll be the first to tell you, I can't build. But when I could throw together a building it meant a lot because I built it. Therefore, whether you are a good builder or not, we won't consider aesthetic quality here. Naturally this comes with some limitations - If it appears that your build could be built within a day won't count. If your build is a network of tunnels, roads, paths, etc that won't count either as that will likely include mostly landscape. There are some other scenarios of builds that just wouldn't be sensible to move but, remember - Case by case basis. 4. Everyone gets 1 free build transfer. The 2nd transfer is 100,000 Lunas. The 3rd is 200,000 Lunas. 4th is 400,000. 5th is 800,000. 6th is 1.6 mil. 7th 3.2 mil. 8th 6.4 mil. 9th 12.8 mil. So on so forth. The 2nd transfer starts at 100k Lunas and doubles every transfer thereafter. This is to prevent the system from being clogged from all transfers being free, prioritizing certain players over others, or setting a hard cap. 5. Builds are being transferred. Not money, not items, not regions, not animals, not anything except blocks. Anything and everything left behind on January 31st will be removed. Paintings on item frames may run into issues, however this will be on a case by case basis due to the wonderful behind the scenes server magic that makes them possible. 6. Let us know if you have any issues with your transfer within a few days following the move. Not weeks or months down the road. 7. All transfers will need to be completed by January 31st per our legacy closure timeline. If you miss this date because you either did not pay attention to the announcements, decided to not read into these transfer procedures, did not bother visiting MineCove for an extended period of time, or were lost on a raft in the middle of the Pacific (someone actually said that once), you will not get your build transferred. If you are reading this before January 31st then you've probably nothing to worry about. If you're reading this after January 31st, then we referred you to this bullet point regarding your build transfer and yeah, to restate, your build is not being transferred. If you have questions post below. If we feel something was missed we'll update the procedure accordingly. Thanks guys! Important - If your build isn't worth you spending the time it takes to read this post, then it won't be worth our time to transfer it. We will ignore requests from individuals who don't spend the time to read this post and choose to ignore procedures.
