Hey everyone!

I'm pleased to announce something many of you have been asking for - Official towns! Run by - You!

With the new towns system we will grant you, the player, far greater ability to customize your town than ever before. This includes the creation of individualized town plots of any dimension, holograms, NPCs, multiple warps and a slew of other neat features! You can check out all of the benefits for owning a town at /towninfo, heading into the doorway on the right.

You're probably wondering - Well what defines a town?

It's quite simply this -

  • You must have at least 15 active members (See /memberreq)
  • A minimum of 5 town buildings (blacksmith, market, library, etc)
  • A town hall with an active members board

Naturally your town will need to be approved before it can be considered a town, you can check /townapply for more info on this. To give everyone a fair shot at building up their town, applications for towns will open on July 25th.

Now - The one major note: Only six towns can be considered official at any time. If, say, there are 6 towns already and you'd like to take the spot of another town, you would refer to the town challenge requirements. This is also found at /towninfo through the door on the right!

Have fun building and planning!

Hey all!

MineCove has updated to 1.10 - The Frostburn Update. Check out a list of new features here

Due to the numerous new nether features in this update, we will be resetting the nether world on June 24th - Be sure to clear out your belongings if you have any there

As with all updates, some server features might be a bit quirky and we may run into a few performance hiccups. In either event, do report to us all issues via this topic here.

Thanks all, have fun!

Howdy folks!

Buybuilds are back up and better than ever! Less expensive, more reliable placement, and an expanding list of options. You may check a list of some of the available buybuilds with /buybuilds. Do note that the /buybuilds list is not all inclusive - You'll need to search out the buybuilds world to see all of your build options.

One of the major issues that people ran into, I myself included, was the catastrophic error of misplacing your buybuild. Now, instead of you placing your build, a staff member will place it for you to tailor your individual needs. This means buybuilds can be repositioned to your specific desires - No more hoping to get lucky in one shot!

To see the process of purchasing a new buybuild, after you have the available funds of course, check /buybuilding in game.

That's all for now - Hope you guys enjoy the new system!

Howdy folks!

As you can plainly see, the website is undergoing some much needed renovations. Over the next few days you'll likely notice some changes both big and small. There will likely be a few graphical bugs here and there - That is to be expected. Overall the website should appear sharper, cleaner, and more accessible to boot. All major changes should be in place - You may notice a few minor ones from here on out.

Big thanks to @Disc for doing some major touch-ups!

Feel free to leave your thoughts on the changes - Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone!

By May 1st MineCove will be updating to 1.9! This will likely occur the day prior, April 30th. If all goes well expect an update as soon as April 29th!

Major things to make a note of:
In the past we have had plugins hiccup on Minecraft updates, so to reduce the likelihood of complications, please do the following:

  • Clear your /market listings and /market mail prior to April 29th. Store these items in chests. After the update it will be free of charge to make new listings for a period of two weeks
  • If you have a painting from gallery, please take a screenshot of it
  • When you go to log off, prior to the update, please log off at /spawn

Minor things to make a note of:

  • You will need a 1.9 client to connect after the update
  • Things might be a bit shaky the first couple weeks. We'll have a bug reporting place set up for issues
  • There will not be a map reset of the main world
  • The end world will be reset on a bi-weekly basis for the first few months to allow all users equal access to the new end world

If my attempt to make this announcement concise, readable, and understandable by all ages failed, please do not hesitate to contact me on here or via Skype (Username: Valphon) for any questions you have.

Thanks guys! Excited for 1.9!
